The Pal’s talk to Massimo Grisafi
Monday Mar 28, 2022
Monday Mar 28, 2022
At seventeen years old, Massimo Grisafi had a strong drive and vision to reshape Toronto’s nightlife industry. Taking many risks along the way, Massimo quickly saw great success as the CEO of Lyme productions. A brand that has curated large-scale concerts and club shows, including Zedd’s True Colors performance in Toronto, Together NYE at Liberty Grand, Monster Mash at Liberty Grand, Dada Land Compound at the Metro Convention Centre, and Disclosure at the Direct Energy Centre. Massimo’s commitment to Lyme has helped him introduce some of the world’s top-tier talent and DJs to the GTA region and beyond.
On top of his success with Toronto’s nightlife industry, Massimo also worked with top artists as the owner of I*AM Booking. His experience included booking events, building portfolios and providing media kits for a roster of 19 artists.
Massimo was at the top of the nightlife industry but chose to step away and take a risk and pursue another passion of his, marketing. In 2016 Massimo started Insert Marketing, a modern marketing agency that offers all the services to build or reshape your brand in one place. Using his experience and contacts from the nightlife and hospitality industries, Insert Marketing works with top brands and events, including Liberty Entertainment Group, Everafter Music Festival, Tavora Foods, Escapade Music Festival, 44 Toronto, Four Brothers Pizza and many more.
Now with over a decade of experience, Massimo continues to revolutionize the marketing industry with his creative vision and talented team.

The Pal’s talk to Adam and Luca
Monday Mar 21, 2022
Monday Mar 21, 2022
Luca and Adam are best friends and business partners who have been shaping Toronto’s hospitality scene for the last decade. Their adventure started when they were 16 years old working with the Liberty Entertainment Group, which eventually inspired them to create their own brand called Exemption Entertainment. After working with virtually every nightclub, festival and party in Toronto at some point or another, their collective experiences have now launched them into their latest venture called LA hospitality. LA hospitality, in connection with several other industry visionaries just opened up Pizza Wine Disco which is quickly earning it’s title as King Street’s grooviest supper-club. We can’t wait to see what these 2 come up with next.

The Pals talk to Chef Michael Angeloni
Monday Feb 28, 2022
Monday Feb 28, 2022
Toronto-born Chef Michael Angeloni (@chefmichaelangeloni) immersed himself in the culinary world after discovering his insatiable passion for cooking at an early age.
Chef Angeloni then trained at The Black Hoof under Grant Van Gameren and went on to assist with several of the city’s most successful restaurant openings, including F’Amelia and The Hoof Café. In 2011, at the age of 24, he was appointed Head Chef at L’Unita Enoteca and was listed among the province’s ‘Top 30 under 30’ by the Ontario Hospitality Industry. The following year, he moved on to the highly successful Grand Electric where he was Executive Chef for four years, working with Head Chef Colin Tooke to develop the menu and oversee the Queen Street and Muskoka locations.
After years of honing his craft and working in acclaimed Canadian culinary establishments, in 2016 Chef Angeloni partnered with Yannick Bigourdan, Adam Teolis, and Dan Kennedy to create Open Concept Hospitality (OC Hospitality), which serves as the parent company of Amano Italian Kitchen, Amano Trattoria, Union Chicken, Uncle Ray’s Food & Liquor and Mikey’s Smash Burgers. Since 2021, Chef Angeloni has been involved with top chef and restaurant prepared meal kit service, Chefdrop, where he contributes dishes and acts as Consulting Chef and Partner, developing recipes in conjunction with participating chefs.

The Pals talk to Fefe Dobson
Friday Feb 25, 2022
Friday Feb 25, 2022
———
With a career spanning nearly two decades and decorated with several awards, nominations and music certifications to her name, multi-platinum recording artist Fefe Dobson is a true renaissance woman within the entertainment industry. Emerging as a pop / rock artist in the early 2000’s, Fefe stood out among her contemporaries as an edgy black female outlier in an otherwise male dominated genre.
Fefe’s new single is best described as a euphoric rush of passionate love driven by the heartbeat of synth, electric guitars and emphatic drum progression. Produced by Thomas “Tawgs” Salter (Walk Off The Earth, Mother Mother, Lights) and co-written by Cook Classics (Beyoncé, Ava Max, Panic! at the Disco), Negin Djafari (Drake, ZAYN, Lights) and Dobson herself, the song was originally written back in 2012 about the insatiable love for her then boyfriend, American rap artist Yelawolf, who would later become her husband. The new single marks the long awaited return from the pop / rock artist as her first commercial music release in nearly 8 years.
