Tyler Shaw is a multi-Platinum-selling artist, music producer, and actor. The Chinese-Canadian, originally from Vancouver, BC, released his hit song “Kiss Goodnight”in 2012, quickly hitting Platinum sales. That release ultimately set the stage for more than a decade of chart-topping singles and career highlights, cementing Tyler’s role as one of Canada’s most versatile and pre-eminent talents.
Tyler has performed for Princes (Harry), Prime Ministers (Justin Trudeau), and Presidents (Joe Biden). His music has been nominated for multiple JUNO Awards, and he has opened for massive international artists, including Shawn Mendes and Alessia Cara, and toured with Selena Gomez. In 2022, Gomez performed Tyler’s hit “Kiss Goodnight” in her acclaimed documentary My Mind and Me. In 2021, Tyler spearheaded (with Fefe Dobson) the collective artist initiative ArtistsCAN to raise funds for COVID-19 relief in Canada. The pair gathered other musicians from across the country, including Justin Bieber, Michael Bublé and Marie-Mai, to cover the classic single “Lean On Me,” with proceeds going to the Canadian Red Cross COVID relief fund. Tyler has worked extensively in the non-profit sphere, also supporting the Pinball Clemons Foundation and the work of the Canadian Chinese Youth Athletic Association (CCYAA).
In 2021, Tyler released his first holiday album A Tyler Shaw Christmas, which was nominated for a JUNO award for ‘Adult Contemporary Album of the Year.’ That year, Tyler toured extensively with The Tenors on their holiday tour, staking his claim as Canada’s Prince of Christmas. In 2022, Tyler released “This Christmas,” which spent three consecutive weeks in the #1 spot on Canadian radio. This year, Tyler is set to release “Christmas All Over Again,” adding to A Tyler Shaw Christmas’s collection of holiday favourites and Christmas originals – truly the gift that keeps on giving. This winter, Tyler brings his holiday magic to Canadians as he embarks on a headlining Christmas tour to usher in the season. Tyler also joins the CP Holiday Train to bring Christmas to Canadians from coast to coast.
As one of Canada’s most recognized pop music talents, with ten top-ten charting singles, and a slew of movie, TV, feature and production credits to his name, Tyler Shaw is one of this country’s most enduring talents. Stay tuned for new projects – and more holiday joy – from Tyler!

The Pals X Garrett Neiles
Episode 247 - Presented By Hardbite Chips. Canadian based and every chip is made with no preservatives, no GMOs, no trans fat, no gluten, no cholesterol!
Garrett Neiles is realizing the depth that comes with maturity and the satisfaction that comes with a growing sense of self. The Japanese-Canadian pop-rock artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba picked up the guitar as a way to connect and has been working on that dream ever since. Injuring his wrist while attending the University of Victoria on a golf scholarship, he passed time in post-op healing physically and emotionally, contemplating who he is, his place in the world, what he truly values and what a healthy and happy life looks like. Recognizing his passion for performance and strong singing voice, Neiles married the latter to his guitar, developed a rock-and-roll rasp, and took cues from some of his favourite legacy artists like Rob Thomas’ (Matchbox 20) songwriting and Steven Tyler’s (Aerosmith) vocals. Neiles’ songwriting reflects a man dedicated to growth, who’s learning life’s complex corners and new, healthier ways to connect with himself and the world. Edgy and clean-cut, Neiles’ nostalgic 2000’s-era brand of pop-rock boasts big hooks and a bold take on a widely appealing sound. Neiles also works with True North Youth Foundation’s Project 11, a global educational mental health subdivision where he’s performed at their Bell Let’s Talk day, as well as sang the national anthem at Winnipeg Jets games.

The Pals talk to Robyn Ottolini
Tuesday Oct 31, 2023
Tuesday Oct 31, 2023
The Pals x Robyn Ottolini
Episode 143
Robyn Ottolini makes music that will either piss you off or make you fall in love with her. Maybe a little of both. Whether she’s cursing or calling out a cheating ex, if it needs saying, Robyn is the one to say it.
Robyn stepped into 2023 with intention on the song 'Five Years'. A self reflective look at happiness and being ok without a five year plan. It's the kind of song that feels heavy and hopeful at the same time. It's a mix Robyn crafts well. 'Five Years' set the table for a huge artistic step in Robyn's career. The rest of 2023 sees a series of singles and an EP, as well as opening slots on the Shania Twain 'Queen Of Me' Tour and festival dates across Canada and the USA. This kind of business is good when the work truly means something.
CCMA Award-winning, platinum-selling country music sensation Robyn Ottolini is heading out on her first headline tour this fall. The “All My Friends Are Hot” tour, named after her latest single, will stop in 12 cities across the U.S. and Canada, starting November 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
For an artist who says it like she means it, the last word sounds best coming straight from her…
"I think It’s easy to get lost in the world of accolades. It can make you forget about things that truly matter. I’m grateful for every single award or streaming record I get but if a song makes me feel, and makes other people feel, that’s 10x more important to me than how many streams it has. I’d rather be honest than rich or famous. I like myself too much to try to win people over by being something I’m not"
